My Heritage

Don't you just love this box of thread??!! I just love sewing. I inherited this box from my husband's grandmother before she died. She was born in 1917 so she had a few wooden spools in her collection. I love all the colors. I think she had almost every one.

These are my Granny's many beautiful quilts. We had a big celebration of all the quilts she made during her lifetime before she died. There were so many and still more on the other side of the room.

    Those wonderful quilts are masterpieces! How lucky your family is, to have such beautiful memories in quilts. I see grandma wasn't the only one in the family with artisitic talents!

    Thanks Deb, yes I really inherited my love of sewing from my Granny. She was precious.
